Upgrade your Online booking

A new version of Timma's Online booking is now available!

In this article, you will learn how to upgrade your Online booking page to the latest version.

💡 We recommend upgrading your Online booking page as soon as possible. We are no longer updating the old Online booking versions, and the new version will replace the old ones during 2027.


What does the updated Online booking look like?

Key new features:

Professional first
Customers are able to choose their regular professional first and see only that professional’s services.

Statuses about your availability
We show automatically to your customers when you are fully booked or closed. Customers can also jump to the first available time easily. No more confusion whether your salon is closed or fully booked.

Waitlist
Offer your customers an option to join a waitlist if no suitable times are available. You can then contact them e.g. via SMS if free slots are available.

Seamless salon brand

  • If you have a Genie website offered by Timma: the Online booking page will automatically use the color theme and font from your Genie website. This makes sure all your customer touchpoints will have the same consistent brand style. You can adjust the style in the website’s Style settings.

  • If you don’t have a Timma Genie website or website at all: You can change the colors of your Online booking page on the Company page under Online booking settings to match it with your brand. You can also embed the Online booking to your own website.

Clear service prices
Prices are shown more clearly on the upgraded Online booking page as it truly utilises the user prices. You can also mark prices as ‘By agreement’ or ‘Free’ in the Pricelist page e.g. for consulation services or services where price is hard to define beforehand.


How does the updated Online booking work?

The upgraded Online booking is modern, easy and optimised for best possible booking experience. It works seamlessly on mobile phones and you can customise its style to match your brand.

Professional or service selection
Your customer can either select a professional first (if you have more than 1 professional visible in your Online booking) or select a service first. Customer can book multiple services at once if they want, for example, a haircut and a foot treatment in one booking.

Additional services
When customer continues after selecting services, they can choose any additional services available on a clear separate next step. They can also skip selecting additional services.

Time selection
Customer can view the available slots in the Online booking. On days where there are no available slots available, we will automatically show whether you are fully booked or closed (= you don’t have an open workday on the selected date). This helps your customers to see why you are not available on certain days.

Review and confirm step
Customer needs to add their contact details in the Review and confirm step, choose promotional preferences, approve Terms and policies and finally choose the available payment method (e.g. pay at location or online pre-payment, depending on your settings).

After they have succesfully confirmed the booking, they will see a "Thank you" page where they will see all the important information about the booking e.g. arrival info and booking date and time. They will also receive a booking confirmation email.


How to update your Online booking

If you are still using the old Online booking version, you can upgrade it on the Company > Information page.

To upgrade your Online booking page:

  1. Go to Company page and there, go to Company information or the Online booking settings panel

  2. Look for the "Upgrade your Online booking!" banner

  3. Click "Start setup" button on the banner

  4. Follow the next steps according to the wizard. You get to choose the color theme for your Online booking, for example.

  5. After succesfull setup, you get to view your upgraded Online booking page.

Remember that you can adjust the colors anytime in the Online booking settings. If you have Timma Genie website, the Online booking page will automatically have the same style as your website, which you can adjust in the website’s Style settings.


Adding Online booking to your own website

We suggest to share the Online booking page as a link or as a “Book now” button on your own website. This way you enable the best possible booking experience for your customers, especially on mobile phones.

Embedding Online booking

If you want the embed the Online booking page to your website click "Embed" on below the booking link on Company page. You can now see the iFrame code which you can copy.

Embedded Online booking page will show your service categories and available professionals. From there, customers will go to make the booking in your Online booking page.


Good to know 💡

  • The upgraded Online booking does not cost extra

  • Your calendar in Timma Pro does not change in any way – waitlist is available in the right corner of your calendar if you choose to use it in the upgraded Online booking

  • We are no longer updating the old Online booking versions

  • The updated Online booking will replace the old versions in 2027
