Timma’s payment solutions* consist of two parts: a payment terminal and online payments. You can enable them together or separately, allowing you to tailor the setup to suit your business needs.
Timma Pay online payment features make it easier to accept payments around the clock and help protect your cash flow from unnecessary loss of income.
*Payment services are provided by Adyen.
Online gift card shop 💌
With an online gift card shop, you can expand your gift card sales without limitations of time or location. This makes it a great option for last-minute gifts or for customers purchasing from another city.
Gift cards purchased online are paid by card, and the buyer receives a digital gift card by email immediately after the purchase.
Each gift card contains a unique code, which automatically appears in Timma Pro under Revenues > Gift Cards. The system also automatically generates a receipt, providing the accounting material you need as the seller.
You can find detailed instructions for starting online gift card sales in a separate article HERE.
Prepayments in online booking and preventing “no-shows” 🙅♀️
Offer your customers the option to pay for their service when making the booking – so when they arrive, you can focus only on the service itself. Prepayments make your cash flow more predictable and help protect your business from unpleasant no-show situations.
Prepayments for bookings can be set as either mandatory or optional (as an alternative to paying at the salon). You can also choose whether prepayments apply to your own online booking page, the Marketplace, or both.
Prepayments can also be limited based on specific situations:
only for customers you choose
only for new customers
only for customers who previously missed an appointment
You can find our full guide to setting up prepayments in a separate article HERE.
Accepting cancellation fees 💸
Online payments also help protect your income when bookings are cancelled too late or not cancelled at all.
A cancellation fee applies when a customer cancels their appointment after your business’s cancellation deadline has passed. In this case, the booking can only be cancelled online by paying the amount of the price defined in your cancellation policy.
If a customer who booked through the Marketplace doesn't show up for their appointment, the cancellation fee defined by your business will be applied to their account. Their account will also be temporarily suspended, meaning they cannot make a new booking until the fee has been paid.
Note: Fees for missed appointments without cancellation apply only to customers who booked through the Marketplace, as the charge can then be linked to their registered profile.
Your business’s cancellation policy should be displayed under Company > Information > Cancellation Policy.
